Hi Neighbor

Ok – so I have been a major slacker on posting. I started a Belize post, but I never finished it, I think just because it was too overwhelming. So, I thought I would make a quick post about a recent volleyball tournament I played in. It'll be shorter and easier and plus there are funny pictures. :)

The tournament was in Asheville, NC and it is called Hi Neighbor. It is basically an excuse to play a little volleyball and party in the mountains. So my friend Jess and I put a team together that SHOULD have been really good. Should being the operative word there. I think we went 3-9 maybe? Not good. Needless to say, we had a really good time at the player party, which made the trip worth it. I am REALLY looking forward to Nationals in New Orleans Baby! Only a month and a half…

All grown up (part deux)

The upgrade process continues at Casa de Fabian. I got my new sofa today. It's a recliner so the two seats on the edges recline. I'm looking forward to spending many a lazy Sunday afternoons on this one!




The futon has been moved to the second room, which is still a huge mess, but one thing at a time! If all things go well, in a few weeks I'll be able to stop calling that room the 'box room' and I'll have a picture to back it up ;)

Cherry Blossoms

Went down to see the Cherry Blossoms on Sunday with Rita and her parents. Man, it was a madhouse down there! I took the metro down, and it was packed. There were tons of people down on the Mall, but it was a nice day and the blossoms looked nice so it was worth it. I'm sure it's nothing like the blossoms in Tokyo though! Here are a few pictures:
